Since the establishment of People’s Republic of China, especially in recent years, the political, economical and cultural exchanges have been strengthened among various nationalities, and a common development and harmonious progress was formed. At the same time, the new concepts that the progress of science and technology and the development of educational enterprise emerged one after another. In Uyghur language, there appeared a large number of new terms that have become the most positive in Uyghur vocabulary and have enriched and developed the modern Uyghur language. Influenced by western and Han culture, modern Uyghur language has varied insensibly and a lot of new words were created_ as the new words of modern Chinese have increased at an unprecedented rate. Collecting these new terms in order to investigate the expression and standardization of them will enrich the connotation of Uyghur study, and it has certain reference value in specific use of new words in social communication, language teaching, and dictionary compiling. In particular, how to express and regulate these new words in modern Uyghur language demands deep and comprehensive studies. This is an issue with urgent and practical significance.This paper collected new terms and its translation from such dictionary as “A Chinese-Uyghur Dictionary of Standardized New Words” and some other related books, under the guide of the theory of Chinese and Uyghur translation, structural linguistics, social linguistics. On the basis of previous studies, this study focuses on the systematic analysis and investigation of the expression and standardization of new terms in the vocabulary of Uyghur language in thirty years.
