| The E-C news trans-editing task for Huanqiu.com is a specially-designed project of news production only for college students in China. The main source texts of the Photo Channel of Huanqiu.com are the photo news in popular English online media. This report was written based on the author’s 10-month internship as a trans-editor for the Photo Channel of Huanqiu.com. The report elaborates the specific trans-editing process and notes that need attention when trans-editing. It also conducts several case studies and presents a couple of strategies for E-C News Trans-editing based on the news that the author have published on Huanqiu.com. By composing this report, the author gains a deeper understanding about the E-C news trans-editing task. Through detailed case studies, the author analyzes the text structures and features of English online news. The author also finds out that based on the strategies of selecting, excluding, emphasizing and reorganizing the information under framing theory when trans-editing English news, the quality of the target texts can be improved and the readers will be more likely attracted. |
