Along with its popularization, a variety of crimes with smart mobile phone also emerged. Therefore, the security of smart mobile phone has aroused people’s concern. As one of two platforms for smart mobile phones, Android, because of its openness, has far more secure problems than IOS. How to enhance Android security will make a great impact on people’s lives as well as entertainment. The translation on this kind of technical report is beneficial to promote security of smart mobile phone and people’s lives.ASM: A Programmable Interface for Extending Android Security is a technical report on computer, introducing Android Security Module. It tried to research how to extend Android security within Android operating system. With the guidance of the theory of functional equivalence, I translate this report in order to find the effective skills of English-to-Chinese technical report translation and illustrate the feasibility of functional equivalence for it.This report introduces translation materials, translation process, difficulties in translation, examples and skills to reflect the application of functional equivalence and summary of experience in five parts. By translating this report, the author not only learned skills in scientific translation, and application of functional equivalence, but also promoted translation skills.
