Study Of Intercultural Adaptation Of International Students From Thailand In China

Cross-cultural research is a comparative study, which has many aspects can be used to study, and it is an important part of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language, so it is closely related to our teaching in real life. The research object of this paper is International Students from Thailand in Guangzhou city, and the purpose of this research is to find the current situation and the problem of the cross-cultural adaption of Thai students in Guangzhou and making good recommendations to help students improve cross-cultural adaption, so they can learn and live better in Guangzhou. This paper pick up international students in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, South China University of Technology, and Sun Yat-sen University as research object, and the writer has conducted questionnaire and interview survey on them. Because the world has set off a wave of “Chinese learning fever”, so more and more foreign students choose to come to China to learn Chinese. Since Guangzhou is close to Thailand and have a higher level of economic development. So many Thai students came to Guangzhou to learn Chinese.The main content of this paper is as follows:The introduction part describes the research background, research purpose, research value, research significance and research status, and the contents of the research status is mainly about cultural adaptation situation of the international students from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand.The second chapter describes the cross-cultural adaptation theory from these aspects such as cross-cultural meaning, theoretical foundation of the intercultural, research methods of the cross-cultural, the strategies and influencing factors of crosscultural adaptation, and the psychology perspective and communication science perspective of cross-cultural.Then describe this study, the writer analyzed the survey data in detail and summarized the highlights and problems about the cultural adaptation of the Thai International Students in Guangzhou. Then listed some interview information and analyzed the content of the interviews.Finally, the writer put forward some advice about cross-cultural adaptation for Thai students in Guangzhou pertinently.The above is the main content of this article.
