The Research About A Chinese Textbook In Modern Japan “Kyushu Hen”

“Kyushu Hen” is a renowned Chinese language textbook in modern Japan. This dissertation compares eighteen versions of “Kyushu Hen” and indicates changes in grammar and content objectively. The dissertation is consisted of five parts: Chapter one is introduction, providing a basic introduction to the aims and meaning of the study. Chapter two introduces basic information of the author and textbook. Chapter three compares every edition’s catalogue and back cover. Chapter four makes a comparison with the content of every edition. Chapter five is the conclusion. Through the analysis, the author finds that MIYAJIMA DAIHACHI made great efforts in revising “Kyushu Hen”. Few changes appeared in Revised Edition of “Kyushu Hen”. After MIYAJIMA DAIHACHI’s death, MIYAJIMA TEISUKE made a lot of revision and thus making the textbook become more scientific. The study shows that differences in vocabulary and grammar with modern Chinese language decrease as the versions of the textbook became newer. Therefore the book was quite suitable to be chosen as Chinese language textbook.
