Report On Simulated Consecutive Interpreting Of Premier Li Keqiang’s Speech At The Opening Plenary Of The Boao Forum For Asia Annual Conference 2014

With the popularity of the international conference, more and more talented interpreters are popular to the society. At the same time, only high quality can promote the interpretations of the conference, so we pay more attention to the study of interpreting. Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening of the annual conference on April 10th. Li Keqiang pointed out that the world is undergoing profound changes and the recovery of the global economy is in slow pace. He also put forward his own view on how to enhance the power of Asian development. He prospected the future trend of the development of Asia and the world. In the new trend of the world, there are more and more international conferences. Therefore as an interpreter, we must promote our skills of interpretation. As we know, the quality of the interpretations will influence the communications with other countries. Interpreters play a key role on the trade communications.The writer interpreted Premier Li’s speech in a consecutive way. The stimulation has three processes, which includes the beginning part, the middle part, and the end. The writer described and analyzed the process of interpreting from the aspects of mistranslating, the differences of cultures and the skills of interpreting. Comparing the interpretation with the real interpreter’s, the writer found out the advantages and disadvantages of the writer’s and the causes that the differences raised. At last the author put forward some tentative suggestions on how to learn interpretation. The interpretation was stimulated, so it can give other interpreters some good suggestions. In this way, we can promote the development of the interpretation.
