Research On Relationship Among High School Students’ Personality, Family Environment And Test Anxiety

At present, the test is the most important evaluation criteria, competition grows increasingly in the examination hall, the resulting of high school students increasingly serious test anxiety. Subjects of this study, 66.1% of students felt the obvious discomfort due to test, 15.7% of high school students at lower anxiety levels, 50.2% of students at secondary anxiety levels, 34.1% of the students in a high level of anxiety. The study found that most of the high school students in the survey exist different levels of test anxiety, and anxiety level is on the high side. Thus, the problem of test anxiety has been increasingly serious, excessive examination anxiety not only affect students’ learning, but also damage their physical and mental health. There are a lot of research on test anxiety, most researchers from influence factors, such as parental rearing, family environment, psychological resilience, competition attitude, personality, achievement motivation and so on. There are test anxiety, personality and family environment of the two studies in the past research, haven’t researchers to explore the relationship between the three, so in this paper, based on the analysis of the differences, attempt to research their relationship, in order to find out the connection between them, enrich the research content.In accordance with the principle of stratified random sampling, 550 participates were chosen from county and city high school, and SPSS17.0 were chosen to analyze the data, statistical methods including descriptive statistics analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. Research tools adopted Sarason test anxiety scale(TAS), Eysenck personality questionnaire short form scale(EPQ- RSC), Chen hui prepare the family environment scale of middle school students. Investigated the present situation of the high school students examination anxiety and personality and family environment, and obtained the following results:1. Overall, the subjects of the examination anxiety level is generally on the high side, 66.1% of the students are feeling the discomfort caused by the exam; N of neurotic personality dimensions and L masked dimension score higher than Chinese norm; Family environment condition overall is good.2. High school students test anxiety and gender exist significant differences, performance for girls than boys; There were significant differences in gender among the psychoticism dimension and the neuroticism dimension of personality, there were significant differences in grade among psychoticism dimensions, neuroticism dimension and internal and external to the dimension; Some factors of the family environment and gender, liberal arts and science, origin of students and parents’ educational level exist significant differences.3. High school students test anxiety, personality and family environment were significantly related to all three.4. The family environment has significant predict effect to personality, personality has significant predict effect to test anxiety, the personality does not play a mediation role between family environment and test anxiety.
