With the fast growth of technology and economy, the world is becoming globalized. At the same time, cultural exchange is developing in different countries. All these factors promote the development of tourism industry. More and more foreign tourists choose China as their travel destinations. So the demands for the quantity and quality of liaison interpreters become high. It requires interpreters not only to interpret and explain accurately, but also to have the skills of solving problems. This practice report is based on author’s liaison interpreting task. The author escorted tour group to visit Wohuang Palace in Shexian County, Handan City and Baodu Village in Luquan District, Shijiazhuang City.This practice report consists of four parts. The first part introduces concrete information about the task, requirements of client and some important points of liaison interpreting. The second chapter shows the pre-task preparation including short-term preparation and background knowledge of tourist attractions. The next chapter tells us the feature of culture-loaded terms and related methods of translation using case study. It summarizes the problems encountered during the interpretation. The forth part is the conclusion, making the self-evaluation of the interpreter, pointing out the problems and matters we should pay attention to as a liaison interpreter and expressing the plan for the future interpreting.
