With the promotion of comprehensive national power, Chinese culture has disseminated to the world for cultural communication, a mounting number of foreigners begin to pay close attention to Chinese which is become one of the most popular languages recently. For that reason, an increasing number of foreigners have been fascinated by Chinese and some of them even flood into China to gain a deeper insight into it. Chinese teacher has tried to find the effective teaching methods to solve the problems that how to improve students Chinese level, especially their spoken Chinese. Because of the complementary relationship between language and music, music teaching method received widespread attention for coming into class teaching. When I was teaching Chinese in the International and Public Affairs of Li Jin University, according to the previous theory research and through the practice survey, I used the music teaching method and selected the appropriate music to practice in classroom teaching which was mainly aims at the overseas beginners. In this essay, I summarized selecting and applying areas of Chinese musics in teaching progress.This paper consists of five parts: introduction text and conclusion.The first chapter is the introduction. In this chapter, the forward discusses the background, meaning and the ways of the research. Summarize and categorize previous research on the theory analysis of music teaching method and the research and practice of applying of music teaching method in the foreign Chinese teaching.The second chapter is analysis and collating the existing teaching method, looking for the theoretical support for music teaching method, analysis the feasibility of introduce Chinese music in foreign Chinese teaching. Analysis of age of overseas students, the update rate of Chinese vocabulary, the relationship of music and language and learning motivation reveals that the feasibility of the music teaching method is affirmed in summary and provides the theoretical support for follows practice.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the existing problems of overseas students in their study of Chinese language. To better achieve the results, based on different levels in Chinese divided roughly into three phases, analysis and research in which phase music teaching method will promote the teaching effect and has an obvious promoting effect. Based on the theoretical support of preamble for the complementary relationship between language and music and combined with the Chinese learning situation of 78 overseas students of International and Public Affairs of Li Jin University which were found in the investigation, turns out that Chinese phonetic symbol is the most important problem which urgently need to improve for the overseas students in their study of Chinese language. For overseas students of the primary phase, they are taught elementary knowledge in the Chinese phonetic symbol which lay a basis for their further study of Chinese language. In the meantime, music teaching method also works best in the primary phase. So language teaching puts the focus on Chinese Pinyin which is the most basic aspect in study of Chinese language.The forth chapter takes the conditions of previous researches and practices as directing research, I performed a study of the problems of the Chinese Pinyin learning of 35 foreign students with elementary- level, according to problem sounds which consists of four aspects(initials, finals, syllable reading and tones.) used Chinese music teaching method. Based on the problem of correct pronunciation mistake, using particular music, put the research theory into practice and get feedback.The fifth chapter using questionnaire method(interviewing method and method of statistical analysis) to help researcher cleans research of foreign students learning Chinese music up especially gives a systemic analysis, take the results of analysis as directing research, and make some feasible suggestions on Chinese Teaching.At last, based on the discussion, I expound my own opinions on the outlook of this research area and summarized to the innovation points and inadequacies. Through the positive investigation search a better teaching method and try to provide an effective means of teaching Chinese as a foreign language teaching, in the hope to consummate teaching Chinese language.
