In 2015 China’s film market continues to rise, domestic teen films are reflections of the contemporary China youth life, psychological characteristics and the epitome of the spiritual world, as well as important parts of the pattern of contemporary Chinese films. With the expanding of China’s film market and the deepening of the Internet industry, stories about youth increasingly appear in the expression of our screen, becoming a unique style of youth image.Different from the mature market of youth film in Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Thailand, market in China especially the mainland of China has been personal and marginalized. This situation ended until in 2013, when Zhao Wei’s So Young seized the opportunity and started a trend of nostalgia of youth in the mainland film market. From 2013 to 2015 in just two years time, more than ten low-middle budget films showed up and gained miraculous box office.This article will explore the features, ecological context and market feedback of domestic youth films in 2013-2015 through three aspects of cross-border directors, ecological context and receiving effects.Pictures from the first chapter of Internet development perspective, analysis of cross-border new director turned out the reasons and creative features. The motives of this phenomenon are two parts: on the one hand, a choice made by market demand, the individual pursuit and business resources advantage etc; on the other hand, unique insights in art, value and aesthetic choice from the unique film background.The second chapter of the ecological context of domestic youth film generated angle discusses dimensional change from the current youth psychology of the audience and the film market Nostalgic feelings attract audiences come into the cinema to embrace carnival festivals of good old time. The injection of capital and mind of Internet makes the concept of IP adopted elements deeply engraved in young films.The third chapter is based on acceptance of the effect, look at the advantages and disadvantages of market performance and on the artistic level.In the aspect of receiving effects, the commercialization of propagation and the fans economy together helped the market success of domestic youth films. However, the lack of artistry is followed with the high box office. Patterned plot makes audiences aesthetic fatigue, and the surreal figures lowed the audiences’ degree of recognition.How domestic youth films get a further develop under internet mind and how cross-border directors improve the level of art while controlling the market as to making better youth films cater to artistical and commercial pursuits are problems need to be solved.
