Chinese culture in the subject of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has gained more and more attention. However, the research results of Chinese culture in intermediate comprehensive courses have been limited. How to integrate culture teaching into intermediate comprehensive courses and form a complete and effective teaching method is the urgent problem.This thesis combines the present research and my one-year internship experience in Confucius Institute of Barcelona. I analyzed Chinese cultural factors of the textbooks and observed the intermediate comprehensive courses in Barcelona. Meanwhile, I also set some questionnaires for the teachers and students about the Chinese culture teaching in the intermediate comprehensive courses of Confucius Institute. Based on the results of the investigation, I made some suggestion on Chinese culture teaching in the intermediate comprehensive courses; hope these can provide help for overseas Chinese teachers.This thesis is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction, including the research significance、research object、research methods and current literature review.The second chapter mainly bases on the observation of current teaching materials used by the intermediate comprehensive courses of Confucius Institute in Barcelona. It summed up the advantages and disadvantages of current teaching materials by analyzing those Chinese Culture factors of new words, text, notes and practice in the textbooks.In the third chapter, using case analysis method, I select two model cases from those recording materials which I collected during my internship period in Confucius Institute of Barcelona. I hope I am able to reflect advantages and disadvantages of the intermediate comprehensive courses of Confucius Institute in Barcelona after my analysis.The fourth chapter uses the questionnaire survey method to investigate the current situation of culture teaching in intermediate comprehensive Chinese courses of Confucius Institute in Barcelona from the perspective of teachers and learners, trying to analyze the pros and cons of the culture teaching in the intermediate comprehensive Chinese courses at the Confucius Institute of Barcelona.The fifth chapter is based on the analysis of first three chapters, combining with my teaching experience, sums up some teaching strategies in order to improve the effect of the culture teaching in intermediate comprehensive Chinese courses.The sixth chapter is a summary of this study, and also points out the shortcomings of this article.
