In the light of China and Nepal’s deepening economic, cultural, educational and other areas of exchange. Nepalese Chinese learners are also increasing. Nepalese students’ acquisition of Chinese pronunciation and grammatical errors is an area that urgently requires research. Correct pronunciation is the most important issue in foreign language learning and it is the key to language learning. Therefore, understanding how to effectively teach phonetic acquisition is an important aspect of language learning. This paper begins by exploring vowel pronunciation in Chinese language learning produces a survey in order to collect related errors made by Nepali students and uses this genuine survey data as the basis for its data analysis. This paper discovers that Nepali students learning Chinese in Nepal and China have the following main Chinese vowel pronunciation errors: in single finals e [?] pronounced as [i], [a], [?] in compound finals ao [ɑu] pronounced as [au], ia [ia] pronounced as [i?], ua [ua] pronounced as [uɑ] and [u?], an [an] pronounced as [ɑn] etc. Nepal student pronunciation errors are mainly caused by the influence of their mother language. The influence of other elements of Chinese pinyin as well as the influence of their learning environment.Accordingly, this paper proposes simple solutions such as the imitation mouth shapes, laminal vowel teaching method and the use of visual teaching methods. |
