M.M.Speransky Liberal Reform In Early 19th Century

The Speransky Reform in early 19^th century is an important spot in the process of Russian modernization. In the general background of the development of Russian history, Speransky Reform was a part which can’t be ignored, it influenced the reform of Russia after the 1860 s deeply. This paper makes a preliminary study on the content of Speransky reform, which is divided into three parts. The first part mainly introduces the precondition of Speransky Reform. The first part mainly introduces the thought of Speransky and the officials promotion system reform, the central management organization reform, finance and education reform, the reform of Siberia which under the leadership of Speransky. The third part mainly introduces the cause of the failure of Speransky Reform and the influence of Speransky Reform to Russian history. The author hopes that the preliminary research in this field will lead to the attention of scholars for Speransky reform.
