A Report On The Translation Of The Journey Of The Heroic Parent

This report, based on the translation of the book, The Journey of the Heroic Parent (the Chapter Six), is a journey of reviewing how to apply to practice some relevant translation theories, improving the ability of dealing with common problems during the translation process and aiming to make the target text much more fluent and accurate. The report can be divided into three major parts:In the introduction part, a tight and concise description of the current situation of China’s Family Education is made, which is the main purpose of selecting this book.The second part is the main body which consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, an introduction is made to the book and its author in a succinct way, the characteristics of the linguistics and stylistics of the book, the theory applied in the translation practice and the significances and value of the translation of the source text. In the second chapter, the details of the whole process of translation are presented, which includes the translation preparation, the translation procedure and the proofreading after the translation. In the third chapter, the translator analyzes the practical problems encountered in the translation process through specific cases and provides the relevant translation strategies.In the last part of this report, a summary of the report is presented, and the gains and experience in the translation are expressed. Also, in this part, readers can learn some suggestions and the deeper thoughts about the translation in China in the future.
