Gold and silver are the common equivalent of human society, which acts as the medium of commodity exchange. As a token currency. Silver and gold as a precious metal is still of great value in today’s society. Lots of applications, such as gold and silver can be stored, used to make jewelry. while in Chinese ancient gold and silver still has many uses, this paper carries out overall analysis through the using of gold and silver in the Song Dynasty, Expatiates on the phenomenon changing of Song Dynasty gold and silver uses, and analyses the changing on the social humans’ psychological, and hope that the understanding of the significance of the use of gold and silver in today’s society.This paper is divided into fifth parts. The introduction part mainly reviews the academia’s study on the issue of silver and gold, and points out the achievements and the part of relatively neglected parts, and defines the concepts and research the ideas and methods. Chapter one: describe the phenomenon of using gold and silver before Song Dynasty, and point out the use of silver and gold characteristics in different times. Chapter two: Analysis the distribution of gold and silver of the song dynasty and the mining of gold and silver ore, pointed out the production of gold and silver in every region and causes of origin changing and influence. Chapter three: Research on the phenomenon of the use of gold and silver from folk in Song Dynasty, and the substance of life and custom. Analysis the cause and effect that silver and gold is important in people’s life. Chapter four: Analysis of using gold and silver in the religion, and the influence of religion on national politics.Chapter five: Using gold and silver as different factors, analysis and summary of the change of the social atmosphere and people’s sense of worth. Conclusion : summarize the above and analyze the actual sense of using silver and gold.
