Research On The Income Method Application Of The Evaluation Of The Film Copyright

In recent years, China’s film industry is booming, but there are also some problems such as the film copyright evaluation index system vacancy, hindered the film financing activities and higher level of development. Based on Chinese film box-office market present situation, the paper adopts the method of empirical analysis and normative analysis to study the film box-office value influential factors and the value of movie derivatives in the economic perspective to study the economic value of film rights.Firstly, this paper introduces the research background and significance, research purposes and research methods, the main content and innovation points of the paper. Expounds the related concepts, and summarizes the domestic and foreign literature research. And then study the box office revenue model, this part introduces the basis principle of the research, discusses the impact at the box office income of the major internal factors and external factors, internal factors include director, main performers, script and investment, etc.External factors include marketing, schedule, cinema gears, etc.Based on the above analysis to predict the movie box office income, including prediction method, explained variables, houw to constructemultiple regression models, model test and regression analysis.Explanatory variables selected five factors which are director,main performers, script, sequel and the schedule.The third part mainly uses the income method to evaluate the film copyright, including the expected revenue, the duration of the revenue and the discount rate of the copyright of the film. The fourth part is the case analysis, the copyright value ofthe film <The Wasted Times> is evaluated and then use sensitivity analysis method to analyse the main parameters which have influence on the estimation, get the final evaluation results. The last part is the conclusion and deficiency of the paper. This part will supplement and summarize the full text, and point out the lack of research and the future research direction.The film copyright value can be divided into two parts of the movie box office income and the value of derivatives. Box office income can obtained by the model which comes from empirical analysis, comprehensive consideration of various factors.Because of the derivative income data is difficult to get, we can reference to other similar films to get. For the duration of the return period and the discount rate,they can be divided into two parts to consider.The box office revenue period is relatively short, the latter return period of the derivatives is some longer.The discount rate can use risk accumulation method of a more accurate.This paper research on the regression model of the box office income, combined with income method of dividing rate method to evaluate the film copyright.Hope to provides some suggestionsfor China Film Copyright assessment system and some movie investment and financing activities.
