Three representative TCSL textbooks are chosen in this thesis:BoYa Chinese Ⅰ and Ⅱ, New Practical Chinese Reader 1and 2, Development Chinese Ⅰ and Ⅱ. From the choice of topics、types and analysis of difficulty level of texts to study the textbooks. In terms of the choice of topics, it analyses the definition of topics, the kind of topics, the accurate statistical analysis of three teaching material text topics and teaching material deficiency and choreography of the text topic suggestions. In terms of the application of types of literature, it also analyses the definition of types of literature, the kind of types of literature, the accurate statistical analysis of three teaching material text types of literature and teaching material deficiency and choreography of types of literature suggestions. In terms of analysis of difficulty level of texts, it analyses three textbooks average the new words、the average sentence length of the text and the average number of grammar points of the text. The detailed data analysis shows that the average amount of new words of the text arrangement should not be too many, it must abide by the outline level standard and the actual situation of learners in writing.This paper uses the method of the quantitative analysis、the contrast analysis and statistics. Through the actual data statistics, then we can get the relevant conclusions about recommendations of primary comprehensive course of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The study of teaching material is helpful for the practical application and quality of teaching.
