Idiom is a unique language form of Chinese, consisting of many differences compared with other languages. These differences are not only reflected in the form and the structure of the idioms, but also embodied in the abundant Chinese culture. To the students who learn Chinese as the second language, acquisition idioms is a big obstacle. If we trace it to is source, apart from the world-structure of idioms, there are some lack of understanding about cultural knowledge in idioms, which makes idioms as a big barrier of Chinese learning. Idiom is a pretty important part of Chinese. It deeply embodies the essence of Chinese culture. To those who learn Chinese as a second language, a better understanding in idioms can provide them a better way to get to know Chinese culture. On the other hand, a deep understanding about Chinese culture helps them learn idioms. As a result, idioms teaching is very significant in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Aiming at the research of culture introduction, this paper classifies those cultural elements and give a instruction, which has a good influence on promoting the efficiency of learners and the overall teaching quality. The paper chooses Chinese culture in idioms as the entry point, and designs questionnaire about idiom teaching and learning and finally get to know the current status of idiom teaching. The paper also discusses some practical method and mode about culture introduction. Aiming to enhancing the effect of Chinese culture introduction, the paper can also help learners get a good understanding about Chinese culture, when learning idioms. It will improve learner’s enthusiasm and efficiency when learning Chinese.
