As an important part of China intangible cultural heritage, with the complete story, vivid stage props, plump figure, exquisite emotional color and other elements, providing endless possibilities and a broad space for industrial development to the Chizhou Nuo Opera. Therefore, to study on the essence of mining in Nuo Opera, cartoon character creation practice, it not only has valuable reference value, but also has important practical significance. This research aims at the angle from the cartoon, in the premise of protecting the intangible cultural heritage under the industrialization development of Chizhou Nuo Opera. That with the characters of Chizhou Nuo Opera as the prototype, to select some classic characters to achieve animation, to analyse and explore the role of creative design for the purpose of the industry development, to form a clear industry position, and then make a series of industrial development ideas.In this paper, literature research, field research, comparative analysis and other methods were used. Through zoucunchuanhu, by familiar with the environment, to visit Chizhou Nuo Opera’s heritage people and so on, we have collected a large number of pictures and text information, and by comprehensive comparison of domestic and foreign excellent animation works, deep mining of Chizhou Nuo Opera cultural value and artistic connotation, refining the essential points, and then explore the association and fusion of Chizhou Nuo Opera and animation industry, to learn from each other and to achieve mastery.By means of the modern cartoon to industrialization development of ancient Chizhou Nuo Opera, the prospect is broad, the potential is huge. This paper use a lot of first-hand materials, the animation elements and its role in Chizhou Opera creative are studied and discussed, and combined with the Opera itself and Nuo Opera’s town location, the feasibility of the Opera development and related industries, are fully discussed.
