Calligraphy is a traditional art objects for teaching Chinese characters, but it also has an important role in the spread of Chinese culture. In the situation of the cause of teaching Chinese as a foreign language flourish, calligraphy gradually going into classroom of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.1 have found that many number of the university lack of individualized teaching methods based on myself experience and research teaching calligraphy, taking account to the importance of the aim of teaching students to learn calligraphy, this paper starts with contrasting the teaching and studying of calligraphy about circle of Chinese characters and non Chinese characters.and research from internal and external motivation based on the interest motivation theory, and finally propose appropriate teaching strategies to give the teaching theory and practice about calligraphy providing some reference.the strategies is that we should stimulate students’interest in learning according to their difference, use a variety of ways to maintain interest in learning and teaching calligraphy, and combine teaching Chinese characters and teaching cultural.This paper is divided into six parts, the first chapter introduces the purpo se, significance and review motivation theory and the research applied in teachi ng Chinese calligraphy for foreign.Second Chapter we analysis of the current si tuation about setting of calligraphy lesson and calligraphy teaching in many do mestic university to find prevailing problems from qualitative and quantitative a spects, and then propose the far-reaching meaning on realize this situation bas ed on the survey results.In the third chapter, Firstly introduced the effect abo ut contrasting the circle of Chinese characters and non Chinese characters calli graphy teaching and then identify the impact of student learning calligraphy motivation factors and their differences according to the questionnaire statistical results and combination of theory of motivation by developing a questionnaire and data analysis results of the questionnaires, in the fourth Chapter, it propos e different teaching strategies based on individualized character from three asp ects according to the survey result,and propose the significance of innovate the style of teaching according myself teaching experience,in the fifth Chapter.it p roposes some suggestions about the whole calligraphy teaching field,in the sixth chapter,it proposes the hope and shortcoming about my paper so that to sum marize this article.
