In the people’s life, wearing, living and working, sugar is an unchangeable important condiment. For the people’s eating, sugar has an important effect. As the necessary things in the people’s life, developed sugar finally become the economy of sugar industry, which has turned into an indivisible part in Chinese economy, so the research for the history of sugar industry is necessary.In the modern history of china, sugar industry economy in Sichuan province had a huge effect for Chinese sugar industry economy. After the National Government moved to Chongqing, which started to control economy in the rear of the war of resistance aganst Japan, planed to control and monopoly the important strategic materials, sugar also in the system of control. In order to change the declining tendency of the Sichuan suger industry after 1940 sumit, in April 1941, Kuo Min Tang the five plenary session of the eighth came up with the economy policy of monopoly,which decided to practice monopoly for six consumptions, they were salt, sugar,cigarette, wine, match and tea.Sugar marketing was an important part in the sugar industry economy of Sichuan province, the transportation and sale for Sichuan sugar carried out smoothly push the Sichuan sugar industry economy to the summit during 1937-1940.Sugar industry had declined after the June of 1940. In February 1942, after the National Government set up sugar monopoly bureau in Chuan kang area, carried out “people production, people manufacture, government purchase, government transportation, businessmen sale” for the Sichuan sugar. However, from the process of implementation, in both aspects of sugar’s transportation and sale, the National Government improved control. Finally,when the National Government completely controlled transportation and sale,which stimulated the improve of Sichuan sugar industry in a short time. At the same time,the National Government killed the dynamic of sugar industry economy in Sichuan and Xikang province. In July 1944, the National Government stopped economy monopoly, sugar marketing returned back to free. However, because of the National Government amounted to 3 and half years squeeze, before 1949 china liberated, sugar marketing in the area of Sichuan never amounted to summit.According to the process of sugar marketing improvement in Sichuan province,which could be divided into two period, the period of “free marketing”(1937-1941)and “government monopoly marketing”(1942-1944). The National Government set up sugar monopoly bureau could be regarded as a divide, both the improvement modal of marketing and the specific links in the process of marketing had differences, so they could be divided into two phases, and narrated separately.There were a lot of things include in Sichuan sugar marketing, such as the sugar market in the period of “free marketing” and the consignees, retailers in the period of“government monopoly marketing”; The system of sugar agent; The important markets for sugar sale; Sugar sell in Sichuan province and sugar sell out to other province; Sugar distribution and sugar sale; Packaging, insurance and storage in the process of sugar marketing and so on. The thesis will use comparative method 、metrological law and deductive method to discuss these links, which hope to have a complete discuss for the period of sugar marketing in Sichuan province.Because the Area of Tuo river is the center of Sichuan sugar marketing, sugar marketing citys like Chendu, Neiijiang, Chongqing, they all in the field of Tuo river,so the thesis will give priority to introduce the region.
