R-T, Margaret and the Rats of Nimh was written by Jane Leslie Conly, daughter of an American author Robert C. O’Brien. It is a sequel to her father’s Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh. The story is about two children, Margaret and her younger brother Artie, who are lost in the Thorn Valley on a family camping trip. They are found and rescued by anthropomorphic rats with independent, distinctive and smart character. A series of funny things reflect a harmonious relationship between animals and human beings. The rich imagination, vivid language and interesting plots make this work more attractive and interesting, meanwhile, it can be used to enlighten, guide and educate children to cognize more about animals.It is lucky and privileged for the author to translate the eight chapters of R-T, Margaret and the Rats of Nimh from Chapter Fourteen to Chapter Twenty-one. The subject of this translation report is a summary and an achievement of the eight chapters.
