Study On Coupling Coordination Degree Of Guangxi Cultural Industry And Tourism Industry

Today, Guangxi cultural industry and tourism industry are going through a huge development in recent years when there are some great changes happening in social economy and the market demand structure. Cultural industry as a pillar industry of the national economy, is combining more closely with tourism industry which acts as a strategic pillar industry in the 12th Five-Year period, The related development of them will be "bright spot" in 13th Five-Year under the new normal. Cultural industry and tourism industry have natural coupling character, because culture is the soul and deep expression of tourism, while tourism is a fine carrier to realize cultivation and recreation function of culture. The quantitative evaluations and analysis of the development level and coupling coordination degree of cultural industry and tourism industry in Guangxi, have important practical significance in optimizing Guangxi economic development model and promoting the economic and social development.In this paper, there are 33 positive and negative indexes of cultural industry and tourism industry selected to construct the evaluation system of coupling coordination degree. It uses the concept of entropy to determine weights and draws lessons from coupled model in physics for quantitative analysis of the coupling coordination degree between cultural industry and tourism industry in Guangxi from 2003 to 2014. The grade of coupling coordination degree is evaluated and interval division is decided according to the coupling coordination criteria. The results show that Guangxi cultural industry and tourism industry are going through a development history:embryonic stage from 2003 to 2008(Cultural industries and tourism industry were not closely related), initial stage from 2009 to 2012(Cultural industries and tourism industry gradually affected each other) and stabilization stage from 2013 to 2014(Cultural industries and tourism promoted development of each other), and the overall coupling coordination degree of cultural industry and tourism industry was gradually improved. In terms of subsystems of cultural industry and tourism industry, the overall level of development is gradually improving, The tourism industry laged behind cultural industry before 2010, the cultural industry and tourism industry were basic synchronous in 2011, The cultural industry laged behind tourism industry after 2012. However, Guangxi cultural industry and tourism industry are still in the stage of primary coupling at present, and have huge room for improvement. Furthermore, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the coupling coordination degree of cultural industry and tourism industry between Guangxi and the surrounding provinces, and the results show that the coupling coordination degree is at a relative high level comparing with the western provinces, while in the middle level comparing with southern provinces.Based on the above analyses, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions on Guangxi cultural industry and tourism industry to achieve a healthy coupling development in the views of the government, enterprise and industry. And it also points out that tourism industry should act as a development platform and strengthen the support for cultural industry to realize the coupling of the coordinated development of tourism industry and cultural industry.
