Educational practice is a very important part of the master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. On the one hand, it can help students to improve their teaching ability; on the other hand, it can also help to improve the teaching quality of colleges and universities. The survey data on educational practice of MTCSOL Grade 2014 from Bohai University suggests the following three aspects:1. Educational practice has shown some main problems on interns, such as a lack of basic knowledge, difficulty in putting theory into practice and a lack of class teaching and management ability.2. Through the educational practice, interns have improved a lot, such as teaching skills, adaptability to environment and management ability.3. What MTCSOL students want most before practice is to have chances to teach Chinese to overseas students during their study.Through the analysis and research of the questionnaire data, Bohai University can take the following suggestions into consideration when it sets the curriculum and practice in fostering MTCSOL students. First of all, more courses on basic knowledge and preparatory courses are needed to guarantee adequate knowledge. Second, more teaching practice bases are needed to provide practice chances for MTCSOL students to guarantee the improvement of teaching ability. Third, more cultural activities involved overseas students are needed to enhance interns’ management ability, activity planning ability and project marketing ability. Fourth, the management scheme of teaching practice has to be more specific to make sure the interns complete their internship flexibly and effectively. Last, it is necessary to extend the time for training courses to make sure the interns firmly master the knowledge they learned, divide the big class into a few smaller classes to improve the training quality of core courses, and increase the per practice chances in development courses and training courses.
