Inferiority is a universal psychological phenomenon of human society, but also a profound impact on our lives. With society develops faster and more competitive, inferiority of high school students has become an important factor affecting students’ academic and interpersonal relationship. High school students who just embrace adolescence are prone to have inferiority feelings. Therefore, inferiority feelings is increasingly becoming common among high school students, and further investigations and studies are needed to make sense. This article divided inferiority into five dimensions: self-respect inferiority, social inferiority, academic inferiority, physical inferiority and appearance inferiority. A key senior high school in Ganzhou city was chosen as an example to analyze from different grades, genders, divisions, accounts, class level, left-behind students or not, and so on,aiming at exploring the characteristics of inferiority. Then students in the high scored group were selected as samples to take experimental group counseling and intervention trials. The experimental results were statistically analyzed at end, and conclusions were as follows:(1) High school students tended to own inferiority prevalently, especially in academic inferiority and physical inferiority.(2) In the overall inferiority of high school students, there was no significant difference in grades, gender, class level, ranking, and so on, but was in rural and non-rural household high school. Inferiority level of rural students showed higher than non-rural students.(3) After group counseling intervention, inferiority level of high school students decreased significantly, which indicates that group counseling on high school students to reduce inferiority took effect.(4) After case counseling intervention, inferiority level of high school students showed no significant decline, which indicates that psychological case consultation took no significant effect for the decline of high school students’ inferiority.
