Self-control is a comprehensive ability for individuals to consciously choose goals even without external supervision,and to regulate impulsive consciousness,emotions,and behaviors in the process,thereby ensuring task completion.High school students are in a special period,facing many challenges in learning and interpersonal,and the level of self-control is of great significance to high school students.Individuals with low self-control levels can cause a series of externalization problems,including aggressiveness.Both the attacker and the victim are severely damaged physically and mentally.Therefore,on the basis of discussing the relationship between self-control and aggression,this study improves the self-control level of high school students through the implementation of group counseling to reduce aggression,and provides a theoretical reference for promoting the mental health of high school students.The study first used "self-control scale","aggressive behavior scale" and "relational attack scale" to test 712 students in a key high school in Anhui Province to explore the status of high school students' self-control and aggressiveness and the relationship between the two Secondly,40 participants were screened and randomly divided into two groups of 20 people.One is an intervention group,and has carried out 8 group counseling courses on the theme of self-control.The other is a control group with normal teaching.After the course,post-test the intervention group and control group to test whether self-control group counseling has a reducing effect on aggression.The conclusion of the study is as follows:(1)The self-control of high school students is at a medium level.There are significant differences in the self-control level of high school students in gender,whether they have left-behind experience,and grades.(2)Aggressive behaviors of high school students and relationship attacks are generally at the lower middle level.Aggressive behavior and relationship aggressive behavior of high school students have significant differences in gender,whether theyhave left-behind experience,and grade variables.(3)The high school students' self-control total score and all dimensions and the aggressive behavior total score,each dimension and relational attack total score show a significant negative relationship;self-control can negatively predict the aggressive behavior and relationship attack.(4)Group tutoring courses with the theme of self-control have a good effect on reducing the aggressiveness of high school students.
