"一 X 就 Y" is a common construction of modern Chinese, whose meaning or function is quite complex and diverse. In the ontology research, academic circles focus on Y and divided it into two semantic grammar classes, which is action type(name for Ya) and quantity type(name for Yq), they are two unrelated forms which shared the same construction of "一……就".Based on this, some theses describe and interpret the semantics and grammar of them, while it is obviously inconsistent with the facts.Correspondingly, it is the same that the structure is taught in two different ways in second language teaching. Because of the diversity of the construction’s meaning or function and the influence of the mother tongue and target language, there comes a large number of bias and errors, thus the effect of teaching and learning is not so satisfied. Based on these two aspects, this study tries to start with the perspective of subjectivity and subjectification, and unifies Ya and Yq into a subjective construction of intrinsic relevance on the macro scale, in order to provide a concise and practical teaching idea or method for teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages. This paper is divided into five parts as follows:The first part is an introduction, which introducesthe background, significance, purpose, theory and researching approach of this study.The second part is syntax and semantics of Ya and Yq. This part first described the grammatical and semantic types of Ya and Yq, and the relationships between the "一 X", thendescribed the representation and characteristic of this structure, and investigated its discourse distribution at last.The third part showed the relationship between Ya and Yq. This part mainly embarks from the semantic and grammatical features of "一" and "就", and launches the analysis on the semantic relationship between "一 X" and "一 Y", reveals that both the action type(Ya) and quantitative type(Yq) are subjective constructions which can express the speaker’s attitude. "一 X" naturally is a small subjective amount, which is foiled for " 就 Y" as great amount. Both of them are generalized quantitative constructions, their specific semantic and syntactic difference is caused by the different distribution of Y and "一 X 就 Y".The fourth part told the discourse function of "一 X 就 Y", which can be used as the first sentence, the middle sentence and the subsequent sentence in the text, and also could be a parallel, sequential, turning, causal and explanatory relations between the discourse. No matter how, it is always a foundation of comment.The fifth part was the second language teaching of "一 X 就 Y". The thesis first investigated its error types in second language teaching, namely omission, addition, overrepresentation, and disordering. Then the thesis analyzed the causes of errors from the aspects of second language acquisition and teaching materials. In the end of this part,the thesis came up with some teaching suggestions from the perspective of language ontology and teaching.
