It is generalized from three historical periods. The first stage is the maternal development period. At this stage Che Deng was called "Che Che Deng" that was ancient and popular in the folk. It appeared frequently in festivals and temple fairs to entertain people. The second stage is in the transition period between Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. "Che Che Deng" changed from rural parade style performances to performances in city streets and even in tea houses and guild halls by removing floats, colored boats as well as other stage properties. It became a new form of singing of "Che Deng" tone that was more fashionable and popular in the marketplace. The third stage was the formation period in the early years of PRC. It finally became a more comprehensive sort of Quyi-"Che Deng" with the reform by Mr Tang Xinlin the Quyi aritist on music for voicesã€scripts and forms of performances. At this stage "Che Deng" focuses on narrative and characters. This paper explains in details the development of "Che Deng" and its history of evolution. It explicate forms of performancesã€music structures and even the literary meanings of woks. It refines and summaries the special artistic features and aesthetic values of "Che Deng". Finally, through in-depth investigation at Suiningã€Yunyangã€Chengkouã€Fuling〠Yibiã€Wushan, the author gives out thoughts on the heritance and protection on "Che Deng" as well as similar Intangible Cultural Heritage.
