Chinese zither, developed along with the two thousand years of Chinese culture and history to today, is a wonderful work of Chinese excellent traditional art. She is praised as the king of "eastern instruments" by her plain, elegant and unique fill rhyme in sound’s "lingering charm". Chinese zither is a representative of Chinese national musical instruments which are the most distinctive. Besides song accompaniment and fluffed & sung by self, she could be used for solo, repetition, ensemble and concerto. She has the plenty of expression and could be played in various forms, so she is an indispensable pizzicato instrument for Chinese national musical instruments. And the music work of these musical instruments is served for audience, for people to enjoy. With the development of social cultural, the music work show, which now is called music appreciation, is a kind of aesthetic activity that takes specific work as target. Listening and appreciating Chinese zither’s music is the high-class taste of spiritual enjoyment, in other words, the angelic voices.This article will treat the view of the combination from Chinese zither’s art and appreciation as a starting point, deeply talks about the aspects of Chinese zither’s performance and education from analysis of three famous Chinese zither’s music works’musical skills, pattern of manifestation, melody’s artistic conception and connotation. The purpose of this paper is enhancing player to grasp the appreciation and control the artistic of music work, and accurately present to the audience.Moonlight on flowery spring river, the little sisters of Grassland hero and Yun Shang Su are three typical Chinese zither’s music works. Each music represents the different development vein of Chinese zither’s art and style features in different era, and they look like a time river which lead us to make a general survey of the development process and artistic charm of Chinese zither. Things are always evolving towards to the prosperity with the continuous development, the art of Chinese zither can be tenaciously survived and loved by the world during in the thousands years’reproductive process due to its continuous reform and innovation to adapt to the times and the social people’s taste. Today, the art of Chinese zither is under the trend of great development, popularization and prosperity, more and more people will focus, choose and love Chinese zither.This article is composed of three major parts:the overview of the art of Chinese zither, appreciation of Chinese zither’s famous music and education-with the Moonlight on flowery spring river, the little sisters of Grassland hero and Yun Shang Su as an example, and the development of Chinese zither’s art. The article strives to give a more comprehensive and objective statement for Chinese zither which is both "ancient" and "modern" instruments, and provides the theoretical basis and help from technical level of education for Chinese zither’s players. Further, this article will make contributions to carry forward the excellent traditional music, and promote the continued development and innovation of Chinese zither’s art.
