In Feminism and Men, the author Nikki van der Gaag states that it is time for feminism to actively include men, and for men to embrace feminism. Only in this way, can gender equality be achieved. With its attention to issues of work, education, caregiving, and violence, this book is a welcome addition for all those seeking gender justice worldwide.This translation report is a summary of the author’s translation process, which mainly consists of four parts. The first part is the translation task description. The translation material is selected from the second chapter of Feminism and Men, authored by UK feminist consultant Nikki van der Gaag. The chapter selected for translation mainly discusses whether men can be feminist. The second part is translation process. Before translation, the author of this thesis reads the whole text, and analyzes language features and literary style. After translation, the author has revised and polished the first draft. The third part is cases analysis. With 20 examples, the author of this thesis comprehensively discusses problems and their solutions in the translation process, in terms of vocabulary, syntax, discourse and background knowledge. The fourth part is reflection. Through this translation practice, the author of this thesis finds that translation is very interesting. Getting a proper translation after contemplating fulfills the author of this thesis well. At the same time, the author of this thesis has made progress, but also recognized shortcomings. From now on, the author of this thesis will do more practice to become an excellent translator.
