| This report studies the translation problems during the translation process of EICC Management Manual of Chengdu Advanced Power Semiconductors Ltd. by adopting three dimensional transformations of eco-translatology. Eco-Translatology selects three dimensional transformations as its translation strategy. In detail, under the principle of "multiple adaptation and selection", this strategy mainly focuses on linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimensions. In context, two parallel texts are used for a translational comparative study. This study aims at solving the translation mistakes and providing reference for term translation. Two parallel texts are the co-published document of Electronic Industry Code of Conduct by HewlettPackard, IBM and Dell etc. and the EICC Management Manual of Arnold Magnetics (Shenzhen) Ltd. This report conducts the translation analysis on the basis of three dimensional transformations strategy. By collecting the translation cases related to linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension, this report presents some reflections and thoughts about the encountered translation problems and the countermeasures during the translation process of EICC Management Manual. Consequently, this research suggests that the theory of eco-translatology has certain guiding significance for the translation of managerial documents. In this paper, four parts are discussed:In the first part, the description of research text is presented, giving a brief introduction to translation process. The second part describes translation difficulties and makes a brief introduction of eco-translatology theory and three dimensional transformations. In the third part, based on three dimensional transformations, the translating cases are analyzed from the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. The last part is presented as a conclusion about the solved translation problems, lessons, limitations and reflection of this report. |
