The Application Research On Imitated Words In Chinese New Words

Imitation word formation is belong to figurative word formation. It is a word formation that is to refer to new things and new concepts by changing part morpheme of the original word and imitate new word that is relative to the noumenon. And we can get the meaning of the imitation word by its form.Since China’s reform and opening up, especially the past 10 years, society developed fast, news things and new concepts emerged endlessly, the information grew explosively, media and communication pattern changed acutely, the language environment gradually opened, a large number of imitation words emerged. The imitation word formation is also getting popular. At the same time, the imitation word formation also keep up with the development of time. Many new phenomena appeared, which have the characteristic of the era.In order to understand and use and teach the imitation word formation, this article analyses all the aspects of imitation word formation through extensive corpus analysis and drawing lessons from existing literatures. This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. Starting from the definition of imitation word formation,I compare the concept with other related concepts to have a more accurate understanding of imitation word formation. Then I analyze the research status in imitation word formation and summarize the deficiencies of current research, and also point out the direction for research. Later, I lead to the problems and the research purpose and meanings of this article. And I explain the content I want to research and the focus points and innovation points of this article and the research methods and also the corpus source.The second chapter is about the types and features of the imitation word formation. It introduced the types of the imitation word formation specifically from structure, semantic, the quantitative relationship and have or not using other methods four parts through specific corpus. Then, through the analysis of the corpus, I illustrates the imitation word formation from its productivity, motivation and economic efficiency in three aspects.The third chapter is about the development of imitation word formation and its motivations. I analyze and explain the era phenomena of the application of imitation word formation during the last ten years. The phenomena are mainly the form of imitation words are more free, the relationship between ontology and simulation is more week, words evented and information of the thumbnail. And proved it through specific corpus. Later, the reasons of appearing of these phenomena are analyzed in two aspects, external reasons and internal reasons. The main external reasons are social factors and psychological factors. And the main internal factors are the interaction conditionality between language elements and so on r ules of language. Two pars both have related theories as support.The fourth part is about the standardization of the imitation word formation. First of all, the imitation word formation’s development’s reaction to the language system is analyzed from positive influences and negative influences two aspects. The positive influences are mainly the imitation word formation has produced a large number of vocabulary, enriches the language system, leads to the “word group” and the emergence of the affix “class” and expanding the original lexical semantic three aspects. The negative influences are mainly the production of coining words and the phenomenon of “rotten copies”. To avoid or reduce the negative influences, this paper gives several advices for the standardization of the imitation word formation:(1) the noumenon meets motivations;(2) avoid ambiguity, and strive to refer to a single meaning;(3) imitation word formation should meet the social needs, the people’s pragmatic psychology and its own laws;(4) avoid bad imitation word formation, and strive for innovation.The fifth chapter is about the teaching key points of imitation word formation to the foreign students. Four suggestions are given in this paper, namely:(1) the teaching staff should know the imitation word formation deeply, and strictly grasp the imitation word formation specification;(2) pay attention to the corpus collection;(3) pay attention to the teaching methods, and guide the students to learn themselves, and imitate boldly;(4) teach the imitation word formation under the era and social background, let the students feel the charm of Chinese.
