The media coverage of suicide is one of the important factors which influence suicide. Are the different ways of suicide reporting will have different effects on suicide? Suicide attitude and suicidal ideation are important indicators for researchers to study suicide, which have an important role in forecasting suicide. Studies have shown that the implicit suicide attitude is irrelevant with the explicit suicide attitude. Is there Suicidal ideation such a separation? Does the way of Suicide reporting have the same influence on implicit and explicit suicide attitude, implicit and explicit suicide ideation?In this study, suicide reports of different way were used as research materials. And there influence on the suicide attitude and suicide ideation of high school students was studied. We surveyed forms of media on which students see suicide reports, the frequency that students see suicide reports. We analyzed of the relation between suicide attitude and suicidal ideation, between implicit suicide attitude and explicit suicide attitude, between implicit suicide ideation and explicit suicide ideation. We studied the influence of way of Suicide reporting on implicit and explicit suicide attitude, implicit and explicit suicide ideation. We also made some suggestions for coverage of suicide and mental education. Conclusions are as follows:1. Internet is the form of media on which high school students see most of the suicide reports, followed by television, books and magazines. More than half of the students are exposed to suicide reports occasional, and nearly half of students are always exposed to suicide reports. Nearly half of the students read the whole report when they see it.2. The negative correlation between explicit suicide attitude and explicit suicidal ideation is significant. The positive correlation between implicit suicide attitude and implicit suicide ideation is significant. The more positive the attitude of suicide is, students are easier to have suicide ideation and suicide behavior.3. The implicit suicide attitude is not significantly correlated with the explicit suicide attitude of the students. There exists separation between implicit suicide attitude and explicit suicide attitude.4. The implicit suicide ideation is not significantly correlated with the explicit suicide ideation of the students. There exists separation between implicit suicide ideation and explicit suicide ideation.5. Explicit suicide attitude of students who read the suicide reports in different ways is not significantly different, indicating that explicit suicide attitude is stable to some degree. The way of suicide reports has no influence on explicit suicide attitude of high school students.6. Implicit suicide attitude of students who read the suicide reports in different ways is significantly different. Compared to students who don’t read suicide report and who read suicide report describing the sadness of relatives, implicit suicide attitude of students who read suicide report describing the situation of suicide is more positive.7. Explicit suicidal ideation of students who read the suicide reports in different ways is significantly different. Compared to students who don’t read suicide report, students who read suicide report describing the situation of suicide and students who read suicide report providing solutions are not easier to have suicide behavior.8. Implicit suicide ideation of students who read the suicide reports in different ways is not significantly different. The way of suicide reports has no influence on implicit suicide ideation of high school students, which exactly verify the separation between implicit suicide ideation and explicit suicide ideation.9. The way of suicide reports has different influence on explicit suicide attitude and implicit suicide attitude of high school students. The way of suicide reports has different influence on explicit suicide ideation and implicit suicide ideation of high school students. So both implicit and explicit suicide attitude, implicit and explicit suicide ideation should be studied.
