With the popularity and development of sports dance movement, a growing number of universities have set up sports dance elective courses, including Ballroom and Latin dancing. However, in the College Latin Dance Course development process, there are some issues, such as professional teacher ratio is small, short elective lesson plan, the students basic skills and weak. And to improve and enhance the quality of teaching and teaching effectiveness can not be improved or corrected by one of these teaching elements to achieve,we must optimize the teaching process through the whole reality of these problems, which would apply to instructional design theory and research. In many schools in teaching design, Dick- Kerry system instructional design theory due workable, effective guidance and training and teaching materials developers practice in the United States has been widely welcomed.From College Latin Dance elective student needs and educational purposes,and explore the feasibility of the system instructional design model applied in Latin dance elective course in colleges and universities; and in the system of teaching practice process design application, screening and teaching activities beneficial to the overall optimization process teaching methods and means; preliminary verification system instructional design model to enhance and improve the role of College Latin Dance public Elective teaching effect for Latin dance elective course provides a theoretical and practical basis for the development and promotion of Colleges and Universities.In this study, the use of literature research form the background of summarized analysis system instructional design, content, procedures,characteristics and other fields; the use of the experimental method of teaching, instructional design model to explore the system application results in elective course in Latin dance; questionnaire law, the use of rating scale before and after the experiment to get students of all aspects of the quality of the test data; use of mathematical statistics, analysis and statistics of experimental data obtained in order to ensure the results of experimental verification of the objectivity and accuracy; use logical analysis of the collected conduct literature, experimental data comparison and analysis, the final results of the research results.In this paper, the following conclusions: the system instructional designmodel in Latin dance elective course in colleges and universities is more appropriate, better able to complete the teaching mission and goals. Student body coordination, flexibility, aerobic endurance, technical skills,learning interest and attitude, self-learning ability, interpersonal skills were significantly improved, promoting the development of all aspects of the quality of students.Dick- Kerry System Application efficiency of teaching Latin dance elective course in colleges and universities in the well, can effectively improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and improve student interest in learning, correct attitude of students and to promote student physical fitness, self-learning ability, development of interpersonal skills.
