As a practice report on liaison interpreting, this report is based on a real experience of interpreting for a British professor for his visit to Guilin NO.2 institutional kindergarten On May 15th 2015. In order to dig the problems, two main parts: kindergarten site visit and meeting selected already are used for countermeasure discussion.Combined with related theories, typical examples are selected for further analysis from six perspectives in task analysis:pretermission and misinterpretation, the use of personal pronoun, note-taking, interpersonal relationship, external environment and the interpreter itself.Based on the task description and analysis, it is found that the corresponding strategies are closely related with adequate pre-interpreting preparation, richer vocabulary and good memory, strategy conversion will help avoiding pretermission and misinterpretation. The use of person pronouns depends on different circumstances. Always be ready for note-taking and keep a smooth interpreting. Draw a clear distinction between the primary and the secondary of service object. Adjust the external environment or learn to adapt it and be flexible. Improve the interpreter itself, such as avoid using catchphrases, speaking loud enough and being attentive to details.
