A Report On Liaison Interpreting Of American Family Adoption Activity In May 2019

In recent years,with the support of governments and the promotion of international adoption organizations,cross-border adoption has become a common activity.This report is based on a liaison interpreting of an American family's adoption activity in May 2019.Under the guidance of the theory of visibility of the interpreter,some typical cases are selected to analyze how the interpreter could push the smooth running of this practice through “visibility” in the process of the liaison interpreting.At the same time,the author sums up all aspects of the whole practice in order to provide reference for the future interpreting activities.This report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is task description,in which the author mainly introduces background of the task,features of the task and requests from the client.The second chapter is the description of the task process,which consists of three parts: pre-interpretation preparation,interpretation process and post-interpretation evaluation.The third chapter is case study.Guided by the theory of the visibility of the interpreter,the author selects some typical cases to make an in-depth analysis of the liaison interpreting task.The fourth chapter is the summary.Through the summary and reflection of the problems encountered in the process of the task,the author puts forward the enlightenment for the future interpreting study and practice.
