Procrastination is a negative behaviour, which can lead to bad results. A long delay will not only increase the academic pressure of the college students, emotion and cognition, but will be a hinder in the way of getting target. And procrastination will also lead to reduce self-efficacy, the feelings of negativity emotion and even reduce the academic achievement. Other studies have shown that feeling of failure is one of the reasons to produce middle level procrastination and high level procrastination. The belief of feeling of failure will lead to escape, so the worry related to achievement may lead to avoidance. In the domestic research, there are many researches on the students’ academic procrastination, especially the college students. Although they know procrastination is a bad behaviour, but procrastination is always difficult to get control. In modern days, college students are faced with all kinds of challenges and competition, procrastination behavior hamper the step forward pace, and slow down their pace. Procrastination not only hinder the achievement of the goal, reduce academic achievement, but also produce anxiety, depression and other negative emotional reactions.According to many documents, I divides this research into three parts:(1) I will release "Aitken procrastination questionnaire", "SES self esteem scale" and "failure performance assessment scale" for Chinese university students, and recycling the datas. I choose six universities in different regions, they are:Fudan University in Shanghai, Harbin, Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, Shenyang Normal University, Lanzhou, Northwest University for nationalities, in Inner Mongolia, Inner Mongolia University and Liuzhou of Guangxi University of technology.(2) the data will be screened, recorded and analyzed with spssl9.0. Respectively:analysis of demographic variables difference in procrastination and self-esteem and fear of failure in three variables, procrastination, self-esteem, failure between fear of pairwise correlation analysis and self-esteem of the intermediary variables regression analysis.(3) the group counseling intervention experiment was conducted to reduce the college students’ procrastination level, and the test results were analyzed and the differences between the datas the test were analyzed with spss19.0. The following conclusions are drawn in this study:(1) there were significant differences in procrastination behavior, self-esteem and fear of failure.(2) here was a correlation between procrastination behavior, self-esteem, and fear of failure. The procrastination behavior and self-esteem were negatively correlated significantly, procrastination behavior and fear of failure was positively correlated significantly, and the fear of failure and self-esteem were negatively correlated significantly.(3) reducing college students’ procrastination level of intervention can alleviate the degree of College Students’ procrastination behavior effectively, so as to reduce the level of College Students’ procrastination.
