In the process of Chinese teaching to foreigners, it is found that there are several types of learning errors in English used foreign students and Thai used foreign students. It is a dilemma for chinese teachers to teach Chinese quantifiers efficiently when face to foreign students with different culture backgrounds.In the present paper, we studied the learning errors of English used foreign students and Thai used foreign students to reveal the differences of the learning errors of the verb-quantifiers and noun-quantifiers, and compare and analysis the origins resulting in these learning errors. We integrated and classified the learing errors through the supplements of the data of linguistics and other meterials based on the predecessors’ research of the learning errors of the quantifiers. Consequently, we contrasted the differences of the learning errors of the verb-quantifiers and noun-quantifiersbetween this two typies of foreigner students to provide a guideline to the teaching processes of a class included students from different countries.The present paper include six chapters. In chapter 1, we declared the significances of this study as well as the research objects, the theoretical bases, the research methods, the sources of the data of linguistics, and the relative research results. Chapter 2 is about the comparison of the learning errors of Chinese noun-quantifiers of English used foreign students and Thai used foreign students. This chapter mainly included two parts and respectively analyzed the different and the same poionts of the learning errors of the noun-quantifiers of the foreign students with different backgrouds. Chapter 3 is similar with chapter 2 and mainly analyzed the different and the same poionts of the learning errors of the verb-quantifiers of the foreign students with different backgrouds.Chapter 4 discussed the factors caused these phenomenous in English used foreign students and Thai used foreign student according to the results of chapter 2 and chapter 3.Chapter 5 provided some suggestions about the teaching strategies of the quantifier learing of English used foreign students and Thai used foreign students, inlcuding both the suggestions to the teaching processes of English used foreign students or Thai used foreign students, and the suggestions to both of the two typies of students in the same class.
