According to the theory of social linguistics of language contact and speech community theory as the instruction, using sample survey and quantitative analysis of social linguistics research methods, the language conditions of second-generation immigrants in Jinhua city has carried on the investigation and analysis.It mainly describes the language use,the language ability.the language acquisition and the language attitude this basic situation of four aspects of the second-generation immigrants. And the internal and external factors affecting language situation of the second-generation immigrants,then analyzed the differences and correlation.In the first part,it describes the language situation of the second-generation immigrants whose scope has been defined, including that the language use in their family domain, friend domain, school domain and public domain, which is given priority to with mandarin, and dialect common pattern of many words; What’s more, this paper observes the acquisition and the standard of ability of native dialect, Mandarin and Jinhua dialectafter the second-generation immigrants getting into the city the mandarin ability are been improved, but many problems still exist in the process of learning mandarin, on the other hand, they did not lose their ability of native dialect, the ability of local dialect still need to improve;It also represents the attitudes to home tongue, Mandarin and Jinhua dialect in terms of affective evaluation, functional evaluation and behavior tendency. The attitude to mandarin were higher, the overall identity of native dialect was fell, the identification of the Jinhua dialect and the use having the contradictory phenomenon. The language attitude on the one hand, embodies their subordinate community identity, on the other hand also reflect their adaptation to the situation of the city.The second part resolves the internal and external differences of the language use of the second-generation immigrants in terms of age. gender, living arrangement, living intention and communication environment.the effect of the’"gender’had no significant effect of language use and language ability, men and women have obvious differences in language acquisition. The smaller the age of second-generation immigrants the better to master the ability of the local dialect, and as the growth of the age, the identity of the second-generation immigrants to native dialect is reduced, gradually reduce the use of native dialect; living conditions and communication environment has a significant effect for language using of the second-generation immigrants. What’s more, we have carried on the correlation test on the use.ability and attitude of mandarin, It was significantly positively related after we made a correlation analysis of the three.Finally, based on the investigation above, we concerned about the education resources of the second-generation immigrants which influence on language situation,;we proposed the second-generation of immigrants into the city compulsory education plan, attaches great importance to the Mandarin teaching work to the second-generation immigrants; paper provides some advises on the improving of the language ability of the second-generation immigrants especially Mandarin ability raise:Encourage the second-generation immigrants to be diglossia, keep the expansion of the Mandarin and dialects of coexist, promoting the construction of harmonious language life of the city.
