The Exploration Of The Application Of Elocnting Short Tang Dynasty Poetry On Teaching Chinese As A Second Language

For the past few years, with the rapidly development of the economy, the international status of China constantly arise, China’s position on the international stage is getting more and more important. The fervor in learning Chinese and paying attention to Chinese culture is rising frequently around many countries in the world. China is an ancient country with a long history of poetry, you will never truly understand Chinese culture without reading Chinese poetry. As an outstanding representative of Chinese classical poetry, Tang Poetry is a very essential part of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL), but not all of Tang poetry is suitable for Chinese teaching. Elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry combines Tang poetry and reciting, has shorter length and more readability,is the effective way to helping Chinese teaching and the promotion of Chinese culture.The writer combines her own ten-month Chinese teaching experiences with teaching cases in Thailand,taking the application on elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry in TCSL as the research subject,taking Thai senior high school students as teaching object.We also select classic Tang poetry to research how elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry in TCSL proceeds.Through the teaching of elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry,we hope Thai students can get improvements in Chinese pronunciation,vocabulary,etc. and get understanding in Chinese traditional culture.This article consists of the following components:The first part is introduction.It mainly elaborates relevant research background,i.e the purpose,significance and current situation of this topic.The second part discusses the importance and significance of elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry and which poetry is suitable for elocnting in teaching Chinese to speakers of other language.It expounds the instructional significance from two aspects:the teaching value of short Tang Dynasty poetry and the practical meaning of elocnting method,and also selects the poetry from the Three Hundred Tang Poems and the Essence of poetry which is suitable for elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry in TCSL(especially for Thai students).The third part is a research on the teaching strategy of elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry in TCSL.With emphasis on Thai students to analyze the strategy used in elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry in TCSL,this paper aims to deal with the teaching work based on Thai students’ characteristics.The forth part makes analysis on the cases of teaching practice, taking Hymn to the Goose,Thoughts on a Tranquil Night,Cataract on Mount Lu,A Song of the Travelling Son for example.The fifth part is the summary and thoughts about the application of elocnting short Tang Dynasty poetry on TCSL.The last part is the conclusion of the results of this article.
