Drawing on experiences of other countries in Second Language Teaching, teaching Chinese to speakers of other language in China, in its over 60-year history, has been developing and perfecting its philosophy, method and textbooks. The Function Method is an outcome of development of time, an import method to futher promote Chinese to the world. Guided by the outline of "structure-function", the Function Method focuses on training students’ ability of expression, aiming to help students express more completely their emotions and ideas using language. This paper, in which five ways of expression introduced in the theory of "Command" function item are explored in depth based on the Function Method, provides, combing errors, frontline Chinese teachers for foreigners with several teaching advices on better equipping the students with basic ways of expression of the function item, who could therefore successfully carry out communicative activities.This paper consists of five sections. The introduction section, first of the five, explains the titles in detail, states writing cause, value and main content of this paper, and summarizes related literatures. The second section, the core of this paper, explores deeply the main ways of expression in the theory of "Command" function item, and accordingly provide teaching suggestions on error analysis of Chinese learners. The third section compares the expression ways of "Command" function item from three aspects, i.e., syntax format, semantic expression and pragmatic values. The fourth section provides several targeted advices on the application of "Command" function item in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The last section, conclusion, sums up the main content of this paper, analysis the deficiencies, and also proposes more suggestions for the teacher who teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
