Writing is a comprehensive expression. Knowledge that learners take in from all channels are jointed and melted in writing. Writing class has become an important course in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, which is charged with writing, which is one of the four linguistic skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, writing. To implement requests and tasks of writing smoothly, writing teaching must stress teaching principles and teaching methods to explore a fast and effective road by following the rules of the writing itself and the teaching. Many universities open writing courses in the intermediate stage of overseas students, during which the students have certain basic in listening and speaking, but their writing ability is relatively weak, which make them think it is hard to learn and write Chinese and even harder to write a Chinese composition. And there are problems like they don’t know how to express via Chinese vocabulary and sentence due to imitation of vocabulary and sentence. In Chinese writing, teachers can’t get to the bottom of problems of composition written by their students if they don’t know the student’s practical needs, which can lead to poor writing of the students. Some teachers have applied some writing methods, but they may also affect the improvement of the students’writing level due to improper use.There are many links in the Chinese as a foreign language writing class. The author is to seek the most suitable teaching methods to intermediate overseas students through teaching practice on methods of model essays interpreting, teachers’assigning writing task and students’ homework correcting by teachers, and examined the effectiveness of these teaching methods through questionnaire surveys.The article is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is Introduction, which mainly introduces the reason of the selected topic, teaching research review on writing class to overseas students from forefathers,teaching principles of the Chinese as a foreign language writing class and general situation of the teaching links. The second chapter is analysis of the teaching links and methods of the writing class to international students in China. The third chapter has verified the effectiveness of the teaching methods and teaching links demonstrated in this article through questionnaire surveys. Finally is epilogue,a summary of the whole article.This article has conducted observation and experiment on the effectiveness of the teaching links and its methods of writing class through ways of model essays interpreting, teachers’writing task assigning and students’homework correcting by teachers and verified the results. Hopefully,it is helpful to the teaching of writing to intermediate level international students.
