Webinar, a new form of conference with its special convenience and advantages, is made possible by Internet technologies. As a relatively new mode and a promising new significant branch of conference interpreting, webinar interpreting will attract more attention and be in huge demand in the foreseeable future.This practice report aims to analyze the process of a simulated simultaneous interpreting of webinar Introduction to Smart Cities from the perspective of the Interpretive Theory, and elaborating the main interpreting strategies adopted in this interpreting practice.This report consists of five chapters. Chapter one, as the task description, introduces the background information, features on the simulated interpreting webinar Introduction to Smart Cities, and significance for the material selection. Chapter two describes the whole process, from pre-interpreting preparations, interpreting process, to post-interpreting issues. Chapter three introduces the Interpretive Theory, the theoretical framework on which this practice was based. Chapter four focusing on case analysis, from the perspective of the Interpretive Theory, involves specific interpreting strategies adopted in this practice at word level and sentence level. Chapter five is a conclusion part, reporting the experience and reflections obtained from this practice, and offering the suggestions for future similar SI practices. It is expected that this report will benefit future webinar interpreting.
