Background: Special equipment as the core of the enterprise economy, its importance is being the community and the masses of people know and concern. Special equipment is different from ordinary equipment, it has high risk and accident prone, will cause serious social impact. In recent years, the special equipment safety accident is increasing year by year. Special equipment safety administrator due to the long working hours, high tension, exercise time, and the "high risk, high load, high pressure" of the nature of the work, they have more professional pressure than other positions. A part of the special equipment safety administrator has mental health problems. Their mental health is directly related to the national property and people’s life safety. Therefore, understanding and ease their pressure, improve their mental health level is an urgent need to address the issue.Objective: The psychobiological health of the special equipment safety administrators in Jishou was realized, the existent questions was found out, the main influential factors was analyzed, it would help to improve their mental health. It has positive significance to prevent the accident of special equipment,protect people’s life and property security and promote the normal operation of the economy in Jishou City. At the same time, the research also provides a reference for the mental health field.Methods: We made questionnaires of the mental health status and the influence factors of the special equipment in Jishou City. Totally 400 administrators were selected randomly from Jishou City, according to the principle of stratified sampling of age. The psychobiological health of the special equipment safety administrators were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire from 4 aspects of the type of demographic characteristics, working pressure, psychological status and affecting factors of these people. Totally 366 valid questionnaires are collected. We deal the statistical data with SPSS 17.0, the factor scores were compared with descriptive statistics, t test and variance. The influencing factors is studied by using single-factor analysis. After excluding the factors that were not statistically significant, the multiple factors regression analysis was conducted.Results: 1.According to the total score of more than 160 points for mental disorders, the results show that there are 212 administrators have psychological problems, accounting for 57.92% of the total number. Compared with the national adult norm, all the factor scores were higher than the national adult norm. The most prominent psychological problems are hostile, paranoid and interpersonal sensitivity.2. Group survey results have shown that the mental health of female is worse than male; people between 41 and 50 years of age is worse than others; people with college degree and below is worse than people with bachelor degree; divorced people is worse than others; people with less than 5 years of work experience is worse than others; elevator operator is worse than other jobs; people who worked in village is worse than others. 3. Univariate analysis showed that working pressure, whether the occurrence of failure and accident, whether to participate in physical exercise,cultural degree are the factors affecting mental health of people, the difference has statistical significance. 4. Multivariate analysis demonstrated working pressure is the most important factor affecting mental health, followed by the occurrence of equipment failure and accidents. Working pressure and the occurrence of equipment failure and accidents are risk factors for mental health.Conclusions and suggestions: Special equipment safety administrators have lots of mental problems. The psychological health of special equipment safety administrators is not in an optimistic condition, the stress of the work greatly affects their mental health. This is consistent with the conclusions of the research on mental health of many special industry groups in China. We can improve the special equipment safety administrator’s mental health by establishing social support system, initiating for correct public opinion, creating a good family atmosphere,enhancing professional knowledge, strengthen their physical exercise and self adjustment and looking for help.
