With the deepening of globalization, more and more Chinese enterprises go abroad and conduct business cooperation to broaden the market worldwide. Therefore, translation of business contracts has become an essential step in commercial activity. Although many studies have been conducted on E-C translation of business contracts, studies on features of contract still remain traditional, characterized by plain and incomplete and introductions, which gives the author motivation to study E-C translation of business contracts from the perspective of stylistic features of contracts.Based on an E-C contract translation project the author has participated in, the report combines the stylistic features at lexical, syntactic and textual level of English contracts and tries to discuss the E-C translation skills of business contracts under the guidance of three rules of skopos theory. At lexical level, this report mainly analyzes the translation skills of archaic, synonyms, nominalization and modal verbs. At syntactic level, the report mainly demonstrates the E-C translation strategies of conditionals, passive voice and long sentences. At textual level, the report focuses on how to achieve textual coherence.Through case studies under the guidance of skopos theory, the report comes to the following conclusion: when dealing with lexical translation, literal translation should be adopted mainly, while omission should be considered in some specific cases; while managing syntactic translation, translation techniques can be adopted flexiblely based on different situations and cases, such as changing the passive voice into active voice, adopting skill of cutting and skill of recasting in dealing with long sentences, etc. For textual translation, grammar devices, lexical cohesion and logical connectors can be applied to achieve textual cohesion.
