| On-line picture news, a text form of manifestation of news, has been gradually accepted by the public as a popular way of reviewing the latest news information, and its translation is becoming increasingly a focus on translation studies. In this paper, some proper translation strategies have been analyzed and discussed with the assistance of the variation translation theory based on the 80 pieces of published E-C on-line picture news translated by the author for huanqiu.com. Some translation difficulties have been sorted out with corresponding translation strategies under the guidance of the variation translation theory: trans-editing, addition, deletion and adaptation. It is concluded that the selected translation strategies have profound guiding significance for improving target language of the E-C on-line picture news and meeting the demand of target readers, which can realize picture news’ value. |
