The Interpretive Theory of Translation is the firstsystematic interpretive theory in the history. It Stands out from other theories related to translation and is widely acknowledged as one of the majorguiding theories in interpretation study.The Interpretive Theory ofTranslation redefined a new interpreting procedure: interpretation of discourse, deverbalization and the way of expressing. This report tries to analyze the simulated consecutive interpreting of a TED Speech named Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are under the guideline of the interpretive theory. This reportconsists offiveparts,the first part is the illustrationthe interpreting practice, including the content and background information about the practice;the second part is the process of the interpreting practice; the third part is the guideline theory for the interpreting practice, including the specific methods and techniques which were used in the interpreting practice; the fourth part is about analyzing the simulated consecutive interpreting;the fifthpart is the conclusion, including the inspiration and thoughts the author obtained from the interpreting practice.Through the simulated consecutive interpreting practice,the author tries to illustrate the practical use of the interpretive theory in real interpretation practices.
