Observations, questionnaires, interviews which were used studied foreign language calligraphy courses which were opend by International Cultural Exchange Institute of Xinjiang University and Xinjiang Normal University, Institute of International Education, Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics and Kyrgyz National University Confucius Institute second half of 2015 calligraphy cultural interest groups. This research reported the status of teaching, faculty profiles, teaching objects, teaching facilities and calligraphy activities of these four teaching units and explored effective strategies about calligraphy as a foreign language teaching. To set up the teaching of science in the organization of courses, clear teaching objectives and teaching grade placement; teachers in strategies to improve the quality of teachers, improve teaching lesson plans, clear teaching content and improve teaching methods; also improve the teaching facilities and enrich cultural activity. In short, as a foreign language teaching Chinese calligraphy teaching curriculum system is an important part, it is necessary to promote the traditional elements of experiential learning and language teaching during teaching, combined with elements of Chinese culture and education, to improve the teaching of the subject’s interest in calligraphy courses and learning initiative, give full play a supporting role in calligraphy teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
