Improving the combat effectiveness has been an eternal subject of army building. Youngmilitary officers and soldiers as the main elements of combat effectiveness, their sense ofsocial responsibility, sense of collective team honour and sense of professional identity has adirect impact on the army’s cohesiveness, creativity, and battle effectiveness. In recent years,armed police and soldiers have been performing more combat duty, maintenance of stabilityand disaster relief tasks resulted from increasing unexpected mass incident, major securityevents, frequent natural disasters and other factors. The risks of operations, difficulty oflong-term garrison and strict training have caused high physical and mental pressure in thearmy. It’s easy to create, among soldiers, boredom of combat, training, management andeducation. In the extreme case, it could lead to anxiety, stress, depression and other negativepsychological reaction, which will, in turn, create a serious threat to the internal harmony andcombat capacity of the army. It has become a researching topic on how to adapt to thesituation and tasks requirements, and the characteristics of military officers and soldiers, howto further improve the military management science and the relevance of ideological andpolitical work of the military and how to inspire officer’s political enthusiasm and ethics.Since the concept of Quality of Work Life in the1970s, the developed countries haveproved its role. They carried out Work Life quality campaigns to apply the conceptsystematically and comprehensively to production and management activities. This haseffectively improved the staff satisfaction, reduced the conflict with the employer andpromoted the production efficiency. The purpose of this study is to introduce the concept ofQuality of Work Life from human resource management to the practice of militarymanagement in order to strengthen the research and exploration of military management andto improve the scientificity, creativity and effectiveness of military management. This studywill apply scientific theories and recent experience to the creation of the generic combinationof inherits and creativity based on the tradition of the long-term revolution and construction ofour troop. Lastly, to improve Officers and Soldiers life quality and combat effectiveness, thisstudy will provide advice and suggestion on how to deal with psychological problemoriginated from environmental adaptability, work pressure and work-family conflicts.
