Comparative Study Of Quantitative Method In The Public Policy Analysis Of China&United States

Since the early1980s, the disciplines of public policy analysis in our country has gone through the process of growing from nothing and few people involved in to becoming dominant disciplines. Especially in recent ten years, our discipline system of public policy analysis has been gradually improved, scientific research personnel increased year by year and academic achievements constantly created. However, compared with developed countries, especially the United States, which is the birthplace of public policy analysis, China’s the research in public policy analysis still falls behind. The main reason is that the methodology development of China’s public policy analysis lays behind.In this thesis, through comparative analysis of America and China’ similarities and differences in the application of the quantitative method in the public policy analysis, and analysis of the reasons that cause differences in quantitative analysis method in the two countries’public policy analysis. On the basis of analysis of the causes, the paper proposes countermeasures that improve the use of quantitative method in our country’s public policy analysis in countermeasures. This thesis can be divided into five parts. Part one mainly explains the background and significance, research trends at home and abroad, presents research ideas, contents, methods, innovations and shortcomings of this thesis. Part two is comparing the similarities in the application of quantitative method of public policy analysis between China and the United States, and it mainly expounds from the research subject, the research theme and research purpose and research methods. Part three is comparing the differences in the application of quantitative method of public policy analysis between China and the United States. In this part, it mainly describes the differences in the application of quantitative method in public policy analysis within the two countries, and this is the key part of the thesis. Part four is responsible for public policy analysis in China and the United States quantitative methods in the application of the different causes were analyzed. Caused this part is to explore the two countries the deep-seated reasons of the lack of quantitative method in the analysis of public policy, public policy itself development lags behind, discipline construction of public policy, public policy researchers ability of quantitative analysis and quantitative analysis, the quantitative research in public policy analysis data can be acquired; Part five is based on the fourth part, analysis the reasons and put forward corresponding countermeasures.
